Erik Heusel named Worldwide Director of Market Management at Allianz Global Assistance
Erik Heusel accompanies the Executive Committee in defining the strategy for Allianz Global Assistance. His role is to identify key strategic directions and to share best commercial and marketing practices observed within Allianz Global Assistance entities with the aim to optimise business activities worldwide.
"Erik is taking the reins of a new strategic position within Allianz Global Assistance. We wanted a market management professional with solid international experience to be responsible for these different business missions. 41 years old with a degree from Germany’s Würzburg University, Erik Heusel is a specialist in marketing and business administration. He began his professional career in 1997 as Products Director for Ferrero. In 2000 he joined Melitta where he held the position of European Marketing Director. It was in 2002 that he joined Allianz SE and subsequently held several management positions (marketing, sales development, CRM, market management) including the position of Global Head of Market Management Centre of Competence at Allianz group. As a polyglot, his various responsibilities have allowed him to build a truly international career, occupying different local, regional and international positions in Germany, the United States and Morocco.
